Dear conqueror in Christ:
What a tremendous privilege to focus today on the spiritual blessings Christmas. The traditional Christmas is a time of family festivities, exchanging gifts, sharing a dinner together ect. Even more, it’s is experienced through carols in the air, the colors brightening the night and of course shopping. Though all these things contribute to make it the most wonderful time of the year, the true Christmas is a spiritual celebration. It’s God’s amazing power fulfilling his plan of salvation for humankind. There are three specific ingredients that make Christmas truly meaningful for us.
The first one is God’s love for humanity: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Now because of God’s love, joy is maximized at Christmas. The Magi of the East at the sight of the Star experienced “an exceeding great joy” (Mt. 2:10). Additionally the angel relieved the fear of shepherds in the fields by telling them: “I bring you good news of great joy” (Luke 2:10). The true Christmas is not only bundled in love and joy but also in peace. It’s the message proclaimed by the angelic choir: ”Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.“ (Luke 2:14). Enjoy the fullness of Christmas blessings as given by God through love, joy and peace for your physical, mental and spiritual health.
