Dear conqueror in Christ:
Praise God for his power to overcome the fear of the unknown. We live in a world of uncertainty and this uncertainty is one of the sources of stress for our lives. For no one can tell what one day will bring forth, much less one week, one month or one year. As rational beings, we plan and organize before embarking on any project. Yet we still have to deal with the unknown, the unexpected. After the death of Jesus, three women: Mary Magdalene, Mary, the mother of James and Salome bought spices to anoint his body. There was, however, a great unknown for them: “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?” (Mark 16:3). Let’s see how they stepped out in the unknown and won a great victory.

What we need to keep in mind is that when we do the best we can, we never know what what miracles await. As the three Marys embraced the unknown, God made a way for them. In the first place, when the got there, “ they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away.“ (Mark 16:4). Furthermore they discovered the biggest surprise in all history: the resurrection of Jesus. For an angel told them: ”“Don’t be alarmed,…“You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here.“ (Mark 16:6). The angel then commissioned them to go and tell his disciples and Peter that he has risen and to meet him in Galilee. Like the women, let us conquer all fears and worries to do our best with what we know and step out in the unknown trusting God for his guidance. HAVE A HAPPY EASTER!
