Dear conqueror in Christ:

As we come to the end of the year 2023, let’s escape the hustles and bustles of life to remember the Lord. For he is the one who has brought us thus far. People tend to forget God when things are going well. This was true with the Israelites. Moses made sure they remember the Lord when their houses were “filled with all kinds of good things you did not provide, wells you did not dig, and vineyards and olive groves you did not plant—then when you eat and are satisfied” (Deut 6:11). It is a duty for us to remember the Lord for what he has done and what he is going to do.

Let’s remember where he brought us from. ”Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years…” (Deut. 8 2). Such positive remembrances build up our confidence to face the “wilderness challenges” that are inevitable in our daily life. Above all, when we remember God, we become conscious of his wonderful power available us. Nehemiah bid his people to do just that as they faced adverse circumstances : “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families…” (Neh. 4:14). As you’re ready to begin the new year, don’t forget to set the Lord ever before you for daily guidance and ultimate victory in every way. HAPPY PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!
