Dear conqueror in Christ

I am much delighted to draw your attention to the Lord’s weapon of invincibility that is available to you. As a quality of being more than conqueror in Christ, invincibility must be an integral part of our mindset. Its paramount importance stands out when we realize the various enemies we face on the battlefield of life. They are physical enemies. David drew attention on them: “Lord, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me!” (Psalms 3:1). Additionally our enemies are also spiritual. The apostle Paul put it this way: “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but …against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Eph 6:12). We must live with the confidence of victory over those enemies.

First realize that the weapon of invincibility, whether enemies are physical or spiritual, anchors on the Lord. It is prayer as seen with King Jehoshaphat when he faced a powerful army from Edom. Overcoming his fear, he turned to the Lord in prayer: “ “For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” (2 Chr 20:11-12). In answer, the Lord’s prophet reassured him that “the battle is not yours but God’s” (2 Chr. 20:15.) With God’s help, Jehoshaphat defeated his enemies. As for our spiritual battles, the apostle Paul urged us to take the full armor of God which also includes prayer, saying: “pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.” (Eph.6:18). Let us live then with this mindset of invincibility that we are more than conquerors in Christ.
