Dear conqueror in Christ:

We give highest praise for the privilege of lifting up Jesus who alone can lift us up. The return of another Palm Sunday is an excellent opportunity to witness how people lifted up Jesus. Luke recorded that”…The whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen: “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”“ (Luke 19:36-38). On that day, Jesus entered Jerusalem as the Messiah, God’s anointed King. As they lifted up Jesus, they were reciprocally blessed with the opportunity to be lifted up. Let us consider how we can experience in this life divine elevation.

Jesus made the promise of a new life when he is lifted up. ”And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” (John 12:32). He came to lift up all who would yield to the born-again life. Jesus also lifted the appressed. He lifted a boy who was possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech. When he was brought to Jesus, he healed the boy:” Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up.“ (Mark 9:27). In this age of mental health crisis, Jesus will lift the depressed to the realm of joy and peace. As you believe in him, you will be able to “rejoice with joy unspeakable full of glory.“ (1 Peter 1:8). Stay lifted up as you continue to lift up Jesus.
