Dear conqueror in Christ:
I join you today with the good news that Jesus is your deliverer. Deliverance is the action of being rescued or set free. We long to be set free from many enemies threatening our well-being. It is therefore reassuring to know that “God delights in the well-being of his servant.” (Psalm 35:27). God guarantees our well-being through the power of deliverance invested in his Son Jesus who himself said:. ”The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because… “He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives” (Luk’s 4:18 KJV). Let’s see how Jesus delivers from three major enemies namely disease, demons and death that stress our lives.
In the ninth chapter of Matthew, Jesus used his deliverance power over diseases. He healed a paralyzed man, a woman with an incurable issue of blood and two blind men. He healed them because of their faith. To the blind, he said: “According to your faith let it be done to you”; (Mat. 9:29). Jesus healed a demon possessed man who could not speak. ” When the demon was driven out, the man who had been mute spoke.” (Mat 9:33). Finally Jesus demonstrated his power over death, our most feared enemy in this life. He raised Jairus’ daughter who had just died. “He went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.“ (Matt 9:25). When troubled by any of these three enemies and other demons, come to Jesus for your healing and deliverance. He is always available.
