Dear conqueror in Christ:

I feel immensely blessed to bring to your attention the urgent need to build a composure fit for times of trouble. The word of God teaches us that “if you falter in a time of trouble, how small is your strength” (Prov 24:10). Avoiding fainting in distress implies resting on that ” state or feeling of being calm and in control of oneself.” Unfortunately, too many people tend to be overwhelmed by adverse circumstances. There is the inspiring example of the Shunammite woman who faced a horrible crisis when her only son suffered a stroke and died. The woman maintained her composure in the midst of this crisis. Let’s see how she victoriously made it.

After the death of her son, she searched for a solution by going to Elisha, the man of God. “She called her husband and said, “Please send me one of the servants and a donkey so I can go to the man of God quickly and return” (2 Kings 4:22). When Elisha’s servant inquired of her welfare, and the welfare of her husband and child, she said: “Everything is all right,” (2 Kings 4:26). She maintained her composure till she pleaded her case with the prophet of the Lord. She was not disappointed because God worked a miracle through Elisha by raising the child back to life. Believe that everything is all right in good time and in time of crisis by relying on God to work out miracles on your behalf.
