Dear conqueror in Christ:
Praise the Lord for this distinct privilege to remind you to activate Go’s power within you. Too many go through life without enjoying the fullness of the blessings God has in store for them. The apostle Paul says that God “is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,“ (Eph 3:20). The secret of accessing God’s immeasurable source of blessings lies in activating our inner power. In the context of nineteenth century inferno of slavery and discrimination of people of color, Frederick Douglass challenged them to rise and fight, saying : “if there is no struggle, there is no progress.” We have to use all our resources to fight and advance our cause.
Jesus’ parable of the talents illustrates well the possibility of activation and use of our inner power with amazing results. The two men who received respectively five and two talents activated their power of creativity, determination, and perseverance to double them up. But the third man with only one talent squandered the opportunity to use the power within him and consequently did nothing but complain. Success awaits anyone who use their God-given power that will ultimately yield this divine commendation : “Well done good and faithful servant” (Mt 25:23). Wake up then to discover and use all your God given gifts and talents to march on to victory.
